If Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. will
run for presidency this election 2016, I will vote for him and render my
support for his campaign. As a first-time voter of the national election, I’m super
excited for the new set of leaders of our republic and at the same time, I’m
hoping that they will serve the country honestly and heartily. As of now, I’m
looking forward that Sen. Bongbong Marcos will lead this new set of leaders.
You may be asking, why him? Well, as far as I know, Sen. Ferdinand
"Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. is capable and qualified in that position. I
strongly believe with his leadership traits and his intelligence, surely he can
be a good president. Let me present to you his educational attainment which I
gathered from the official website of the Senate of the Philippines: Sen.
Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. went to Institucion
Teresiana and La Salle Greenhills in Manila where he obtained his kindergarten
and elementary education, respectively. He was sent to England where he lived
and studied in an all-boys Benedictine abbey, Worth School. He pursued his
undergraduate degree, graduating with a Special Diploma in Social Studies from
Oxford University in England. He took up Masters in Business Administration in
Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA but
he didn’t complete it because he was elected Vice-Governor of the province of
Ilocos Norte that time. This clearly suggests that he is competently qualified.
For
the past 25 years, he has been active in public service, and has always kept
his focus on serving the Filipino people. He has been a public servant
of Ilocos Norte. During his terms, he developed this province into a first-class province of international acclaim.
He pioneered the wind power technology in Ilocos Norte which, to this day,
serves as an alternative source of energy not only for the needs of his
province, but for the other parts of Luzon as well. He opened his mind in
extending his service not only to Ilocos, Norte by running for Senator and
ranked 7th in over-all standing. Another factor why I like
him to be the next president, Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. authored the law establishing the Philippine Youth
Commission. Not just that, he is also the co-author of the Anti-Drunk and
Drugged Driving Act, the Cybercrime Prevention Act, the Expanded
Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, and the National Health Insurance Act.
These
things gave me the assurance that Sen. Ferdinand
"Bongbong" R. Marcos, Jr. can be a good president of the republic. Though
he is the son of the late dictator who declared martial law and brought those
dark days in the Philippines, I strongly believe that he inherited the genes of
his father. Let me remind you that his father brought pride and progress to the
country. He was able to improve the infrastructure by constructing thousands
and thousands of kilometers of roads and other related wide-ranging programs.
He also improved the economy of the country and initiate some agricultural
policies that brought us to self-sufficiency in rice. Yes of course, we know that the late dictator was
involved in many crimes, but we should not close our minds and link those
crimes to his son, Sen. Bongbong
Marcos. We cannot blame the crimes of parents on their children. He was just a teenager that time and he has
nothing to do with these crimes. It wasn’t his fault. And I think if we will
give Sen. Bongbong Marcos the chance to be the president, he will correct all
those “bad things” his father has done. This will also help him to do things
better. Hence, he will become a good ruler and will continue his deeds for the betterment of the country. I'm sure that he can give progress to all the sectors of government-agriculture, security and defense, health, education, justice, foreign relations and others.
Election is fast approaching, and until today Sen.
Bongbong Marcos has yet confirming to run for the presidency. But as a voter, I
believe in his all capabilities. I will just say, Sen. Bongbong Marcos is my
ideal president for the Philippines.
